Bush's Alternative Fuels Program --- All Hat and No Cattle

Before you get too excited about our current President's apparent transformation from Texas Oilman to Mr. Green -- take a look at the facts --- According to the New York Times, the President's 12 Step Program for ending our addiction to Middle East Oil centers around committing a whopping $150 million dollars for the commercial development of biofuels.

If you are keeping score at home --- that's approximately $30 million dollars LESS than this country spends EACH DAY in Iraq. And here is the kicker --- it's $50 million dollars LESS than he proposed in his budget the year before -- when his solution of the month was to drill our way out of dependence off Florida's coast and in ANWR.

Let's hope the American People see through the President's latest Carbon Free Smokescreen.
